OUR STORY
LOVE, LIFE, ADVENTURE, FILM
VE Videography has been a dream in the making since 2002 — long before I met my wife. My love for cinematic filmmaking was born from time spent watching movies with epic musical scores that elevated the story and stirred emotion. That passion grew into a creative pursuit and, eventually, a career rooted in capturing beautiful moments.
And life got better when I met my wife, the love of my life — my beautiful gem, both inside and out. She’s been my biggest supporter, encourager, and partner in every sense. We married in September 2015 and honeymooned in Maui and Kauai, Hawaii — an unforgettable celebration of love and life. In 2018, we rebranded VE Videography together, blending our strengths and shared vision to serve couples and brands with heart-led, intentional storytelling.
Outside of filming, we’re adventurers at heart — a husband-and-wife duo who love traveling, hiking waterfalls, exploring mountaintops, and soaking in the peaceful beauty of nature (and the occasional city life too). Guided by our Christian faith, we believe the Lord leads us in everything we do — from our relationship to our creative work. Our love for nature has taken us across the Great Smoky Mountains and beyond, often revisiting the breathtaking places we’ve hiked together — sometimes just for ourselves, and other times to capture love stories for couples in stunning engagement and save-the-date films.
While we don’t have kids, our two rescue pups, Sierra and Midnight, have stolen our hearts. We actually found them during a casual round of disc golf — tiny, wild, and impossible not to love. Now, they’re a huge part of our lives. Sierra is our cautious protector, always alert, while Midnight is the social butterfly who can’t wait to meet everyone. They love the dog park, playing fetch, and pretty much rule the house.
And yes — we're also big-time sports fans! Following our favorite teams has led to some amazing connections, including the honor of filming weddings for professional athletes in the NFL, baseball, volleyball, and beyond. It’s always a joy to support their careers while capturing their most unforgettable moments — many of whom have become lifelong friends.
FILM LIFE
While in high school and college, many of my teachers recognized my potential, often predicting that I would one day run a successful film business. During college, I took on an ambitious project: a documentary about renowned music composer William Wagner. My professor was so impressed with the final piece that she not only requested a copy for herself but continues to showcase it to her classes to this day.
After completing my education, I stepped into the entrepreneurial world of filmmaking with a desire to create meaningful visual stories across industries. My work quickly expanded into music videos, corporate productions, branded content, and live events—each project sharpening my craft and deepening my understanding of storytelling through film. It was during this season that my late father encouraged me to explore wedding videography, recognizing the powerful stories unfolding within each celebration. In 2006, I filmed my first weddings for close friends, and I discovered something profound: weddings are not just events—they are deeply personal documentaries filled with emotion, legacy, and real moments.
From 2010–2012, I had the privilege of serving as a film editor on a documentary series filmed in Bangladesh and India, a project that aired on U.S. and international networks. Over the years, I’ve continued contributing as both an editor and cinematographer on a wide range of productions across broadcast, commercial, and independent film projects. These experiences shaped my deep appreciation for all forms of filmmaking—whether documentary storytelling, branded commercial content, or cinematic wedding films.
As VE Videography grew into a full-service video production company, my focus became clear: to approach every project with the same intentional storytelling, refined visuals, and emotional depth. From producing commercial films for businesses to crafting documentary-style wedding films for couples who desire more than a highlight reel, each production is treated as a meaningful story worth capturing and preserving.
